Another day, another early start in the Isle of Wight today. Breakfast was followed this morning by our first activities of the day: Abseiling, Sensory Trail, Fencing and Zipwire. Abseiling and Zipwire are activities that many found very difficult and a lot of us had second thoughts. However a large group faced their fears and had a go and ended up really enjoying it, some even bouncing their way down! Sensory Trail is an activity which is always going to end up in a mess as you crawl through mud, puddles and leaves with only the guidance of the staff. Fencing was something a bit different to try, but after a quick crash course in the rules, it was time to get suited up and duel.
Our final activity before dinner was Dragon Boating, where all of the children had the opportunity to row across the lake working as part of a team. Our group was split in half across two boats, allowing us the chance to race with each other as well as other schools. It was a fun, yet wet way to end our activities. Our evening entertainment today was a scavenger hunt based on countries around the world, with signs about different countries being located around the site with questions on them. We split into teams and had to answer the questions as quick as possible to be sent onto the next country. Despite the rain, we managed to have fun and still completed the majority of the tasks. Now to bed to get some rest before our final full day!
