Sainsburys School Games Success!

A new year and more success for Cippenham Primary School at the Sainsburys School Games level 2 events.

In a mixed age event children from Year 1-year 6 competed in the Boccia event.  Last year this event was won by Sky Angel and Poppy from CPS and they eventually went on to become champions of Berkshire!

They were defending their title, with another team made up of Malaika, Tamara and Adam determined to do well against the other 24 teams.

Both teams won all of their group games with a few challenging games throughout showing excellent team and communication skills .  They advanced to the semi-finals; with both teams being kept apart facing other schools…

After both coming through tough matches both teams then met each other in the final.  In a very close match the experience of being champions shone through with Sky, Angel and Poppy defending their title and becoming winners (the first time this has ever been done by a team from Slough!) for the second year running.  They will now go on to represent Slough at the Sainsburys Games Berkshire Finals.

Well done to all the children, thank you to all of the adults that helped organise and attended the event.
