6 Shakespeare and 6 Thomas were the first two classes to visit Cippenham Baptist Church on Tuesday, 8th December.
During this visit, we learnt about the true meaning of Christmas and the Christmas Story. We also learnt about some common misconceptions around that time. For example, there is no mention of a stable in the Bible and it was probably a cave where Jesus was born. There is also no mention of a donkey so we are unsure exactly how Mary travelled to Bethlehem! Some children were then chosen to put on a play of the Christmas Story, but a very entertaining modern-day version! We also had the opportunity to make mince pies which we brought back with us.
We had a truly wonderful morning and would like to thank the wonderful people from the Church who made our visit so enjoyable!
