Farewell and thank you from Mrs Willis
So the last day of term is here and children are weighed down by the generosity of their parents as they offer gifts to their teachers and other adults who support them. We are always touched and grateful for the appreciation these gifts bestow and we thank you for your kindness.
My last day at this wonderful school is marked by sadness at leaving such a supportive and inclusive community but also full of hope for what we have created together at Cippenham. There is a warmth and a joy here that is rare to find and this is recognised by Mrs Virk, the new headteacher, and also the new trust team that will look after the school. I am proud to hand over the leadership of this school, confident that the values that have guided us for over ten years will continue to be at the centre of vision and practice.
I wish you all the best for the future and will think of you often as I find a new chapter in my life, hopefully a little slower and with greater choice over my day! Thank you for all your gifts and messages, it is truly heart-warming to know how much this school means to all of you and if I have somehow played a small part in that then I can retire a happy headteacher.
With fondness and appreciation
