Cippenham Infant School got involved with World Autism Awareness Week which began on Monday 27th March. Many different activities happened during that week, including an event that the teachers were really looking forward to...Onesie Wednesday! We also had a Puzzle Power Hour, an Autism Awareness Photo Booth and a Cake and Bake Sale! We are pleased and proud to say we raised over £700 for Autism Awareness. Thank you for all your support.
Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that effects how people perceive the world and interact with others. Autism is a spectrum condition which means that all autistic people share certain difficulties, but being autistic will affect them in different ways. There are around 700,000 people in the UK living with Autism - that's more than 1 in 100 - and by getting involved with World Autism Awareness Week we raised money and awareness to help autistic people and their families across the UK.
