The Friends group has been an important, integral part of the school community for many years. Over the years, the Friends have raised money which has been spent on improving equipment and resources to enhance our children's education and the facilities in the school in general. The intention is to fund the “extras” that are not provided for by the school’s normal budget, making our children’s learning experience so much more fulfilling and exciting. Since being formed in May 2013, the Friends have raised over £10,000.
We are currently a small friendly group made up of parents and staff members and would love to have more members; together with the school we could achieve great things! We try to meet twice a year on site at the school to decide future events and discuss the planning that goes into them. Also we organise a number of social events for the members so that we can get together, socialise and rewards ourselves for the effort and commitment that goes into being a member of the Friends committee.
Being a member doesn’t mean you have to give us all your time, many of us work full time and we support and understand that everyone has other commitments. No matter how small or how often, we appreciate ideas, preparation and running the events, you can do all or some, and we are truly flexible and grateful.
If you are interested in joining the group or would like more information, please contact the Chair (Liz Goddard) or Deputy Chair (Louise Dolling) of the Friends committee. We would be more than happy to discuss how to become a member (not that it is difficult), you can do this by emailing the Friends group via firstname.lastname@example.org or by speaking with Mrs. Reeve in the Admin Office and she will give you our contact details.
