Relationships and Health Education (RHE) will soon be a statutory part of the National Curriculum, coming into effect as of September 2020. As part of our school’s Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) programme, the pupils will receive lessons on topics such as developing positive relationships, looking after their physical and mental health, and understanding how to keep themselves safe.
The purpose of the upcoming curriculum is to provide the knowledge and understanding our pupils need to thrive in modern Britain. The lessons are designed to help children from all backgrounds build nurturing and safe relationships, and to understand how to keep themselves and others safe and healthy.
Please read the document beow, including the draft RHE policy for more information.
