Safeguarding at Cippenham School.

All staff at Cippenham School regard the safety and well-being of the pupils as paramount.  As a school we ensure that the children feel safe and secure whilst in our care and know that there is somebody that will listen and understand.

Safeguarding is what we do for all children and young people whilst in our care.  Child Protection is what we do for children who have been harmed or are at significant risk of being harmed.  Both the Cippenham School Safeguarding and Child Protection policy and the TEFAT Safeguarding policy can be found in the policy section of our website.

The up-to-date version of Keeping Children Safe In Education 2021 can be found at the bottom of this page.

We work closely with parents, the Local Authority and other professionals to maintain the children’s safety.  All adults at Cippenham School recognise that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, irrespective of the role they undertake or whether their role has direct contact or responsibility for children or not.  This means that all staff are trained in accordance with regulation and know the procedures that are in place to safeguard each child.  In addition to this, we have a number of staff with designated safeguarding responsibilities.

Danielle Thornton is the Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Jatinder Virk is the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
